The size chart above should serve as a general guide. If you would like assistance in determining the proper size, please send the following information to contact@desotosport.com.

WEIGHT - Accuracy helps us provide a more accurate size for you.
CHEST - Fullest part of breast, measured as the largest part of circumference right over the pectoral muscle.
WAIST -  Circumference measured at the belly-button line - this is NOT the same as your pants waist size.
HIPS - Circumference measured at the widest point, NOT at your hips where your belt may go. Typically this will measure just a few inches below your hip bones and around the largest part of the glutes.

If you do not have a tape measure and you need something to measure with, use a belt, or smart phone power cord, and a ruler.
This item ships for free within the USA.

This new model is made entirely of new Mobius™ Comfort Compression – Compression that is comfortable, not tight.

Sizing: Please refer to the size chart button above for sizing guidance.
Fit Type: Comfort Compression
Fit Note:
Please do not assume your size, please use our size chart. If in doubt, email questions to contact@desotosport.com.

Features and Benefits:

  • Made of Mobius™ Comfort Compression with 13 panels for an incredible, supportive fit
  • 3-inch Mobius™ Comfort leg-bands keep the short in place without squeezing the legs
  • Sheer mesh bibs straps keep you cool
  • 14mm 400-Mile Clasico Pad is sewn in. This pad floats and stretches which means it can be used as a race piece in a triathlon. On the bicycle, the pad stretches with the short and follows your skin as it moves with every pedal stroke, eliminating the friction that can cause irritation or rashes.
  • Midsection Support – Our bibs offer some very nice support around the mid-section, as they come up a bit higher on the sides than other brands, to cover and tuck in the obliques and abdomen.
  • 3 pockets: one one each outer thigh and one center back pocket that fit cell phones, smart phones, fuel packets, and most sunglasses
  • Curvilinear™ seamlines and contrast flatstitch highlight panel construction, create an attractive appearance and are extremely durable
  • This environmentally-friendly innovation is completely free of solvents.
  • Not recommended for repeated use in a chlorinated pool.
  • Made in USA

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 400-MILE CYCLING BIB AND THE MOBIUS CYCLING BIB?

The Fabric:

  • The 400-Mile Cycling Bib is made of Forza Compressor Fabric with Liftfoil center panels - this fabric offers a nice snug compression for the ultimate benefits of muscle support, in delay of onset of fatigue and accelerated recovery.
  • The Mobius Cycling Bib is made of Mobius Comfort Compression Fabric throughout - this fabric is a little more stretchy, but it still offers some support and compression benefits.

Similarities:

  • The 400-Mile Pad on both styles is 14mm thick
  • Both Bibshorts have the same pockets in 3 locations
  • Both Bibshorts have same 3-inch legbands made of Mobius Comfort Compression which eliminates the “sausage leg" squeeze found in other brands.

Inseam lengths:

  •      Small: 10.5" (26.67cm)
  •      Medium: 11" (27.95cm)
  •      Large: 11.5" (29.22cm)
  •      XLarge: 12" (30.48cm)

Inseam Note  - Shorter Leg Length than other brands: Have you seen the length of the shorts that riders have been wearing in Europe lately, especially in the Grand Tours? As opposed to most brands here in the states, which come just above the knees, our shorts are comfortably shorter. Our inseam is similar to those currently used by the pros in the Grand Tours. They have no gripper elastic, yet stay in place and do not bind or squeeze the legs, which is crucial once you get to the run segment of a triathlon.

    Mobius Cycling Bibs

Good quality product as always from DeSoto. Be aware of the inseam on these bibs. I have 3 pair of the 400 mile bibs that fit quite well. I did not think to check the inseam on these which is almost 2 inches longer. I have a short inseam and these shorts go over my knee.

    Best Bibs Ever!

I've bought several of these in the past and they have never failed me. I do a lot of long-distance events and feel just great after the rides. Where else can you get bibs with pockets? Nowhere. I'll never buy another brand again!

    Mobius bib short

Quality and comfort is great . I am 6’2 225 lbs. XL was too loose so bought L. Much better fit. Suspenders are still a little loose but no pressure on shoulders. I love the longer inseam comfort. Pad is great. I recommend sizing smaller that what you normally wear.

    A versatile well designed bib

This bib hangs in there with the big names of cycling. Plus , with the pockets, allows for wear off road and gravel. Good bang for the buck.

    Top Notch Bibs

As a previous owner my 3rd pair I switched to this style because it’s totally revamped and I love them. True fit better design and material I give you all tremendous thank you for listening to your community

    It's not you it's me

I love these bibs. I've had size L for 5 years and they're terrific. But I've put on weight so thought I'd try the XLs. Unfortunately I had to return the XL for a refund because the legs are so long they were below my knees. It's still a great product, but doesn't fit my current physique.

Need a medium and a half?

These are the best cycling bibs I have ever worn. The three pocket design allows me to take my phone, cycling computer, and bike radar with all of the connectivity out to my bike and keeps it secure. The only potential problem is that the sizing seems to put me in a zone where I am lost between the medium and the large (I am 5'10" and 178 lbs). I think I will try the mediums next time. Size aside - you will not find a higher quality product - I have tried most of them.

    Great Bibs!

Have these Bibs and the 400 mile bibs. The 400 mile pad in both is the best I have ever found. The Mobius Bib are cut higher than the 400 mile bib so they cover more of abdomen.

    Mobious Cycling Bib

I have four pairs of your bibs and rarely wear anything else unless I am on a short ride. They are super comfy and I absolutely love all the convenient pockets. I have two pair that are about 4 years old and they look brand new, there isn't a loose thread on them. These are well worth the expense.

    Super Comfortable

I wasn’t used to the long cut that sit just above the knee cap, but I quickly found that I really like the fit. The bib is super stretchy (easy for pit stops) and breathable. Fees like I’m not wearing anything at all. I’ll probably end up buying another. So proud that they are made right here in San Diego!

    3rd or 4th pair

These are my go bibs. It's my 3rd or 4th pair. I do have some 400mile bibs, but like these better. I'm at a replace 1 for 1, so when an old pair wears out, I replace with these. This got rid of last pair of pearl izumi's. Price is reasonable, chamois works for me, fabric material is nice, just the right amount of stretch.

    400 mile bib-shorts

I like them a lot. Never thought I'd where a bib type cycling short but now that I have I can see why people like them. I ride a 95g carbon saddle routinely 33 miles twice a week. With gel padded shorts I would role off one side or the other and it felt like I was always riding on an edge. The 400 mile pad allows my sit bones to find the sweet spot in the saddle and then I forget about it for the whole ride. My only grip is that the shoulder strap seems to sit on my nipples instead of the nicer mesh part of the strap. Not really De Soto's fault they can't plan for every man's body geometry.

    Mobius Cycling Bib Review

While I've only gotten in three rides with these newly purchased bib shorts from Desoto, their comfort is noticeably different and better as the ride gets longer. The Mobius bibs contour to the body better than my other bibs as does the 400 mile padding. For rides >2 hours, this makes a noticeable difference which has helped my fitness build for some longer Fall endurance events. While the purchase price may be a bit on the high side, it is worth it for the reward of many long, comfortable rides.

Best riding bib ever. Comfort for the day. Have done 2 85 mile and 2 100 mile rides and loved them.

    Good, Not Great

I have two pair of Assos shorts, and one DeSoto 400-Mile Cycling Bib. The DeSoto 400-Mile Bib is far and away my favorite. It has a pleasing compression, good length, and excellent comfort. I wanted another pair, but for some reason I ordered the Mobius bib instead. It is not the same thing. I still like it, but for me it is too stretchy and not as comfortable. I rank it behind the Assos shorts and behind the ultimate DeSoto short. The difference is clear in the description on the web site, but I didn't really appreciate it, so order this short if you want a stretchy bib, order the 400-Miler if you like compression: The 400-Mile Cycling Bib is made of Forza Compressor Fabric with Liftfoil center panels - this fabric offers a nice snug compression for the ultimate benefits of muscle support, in delay of onset of fatigue and accelerated recovery. The Mobius Cycling Bib is made of Mobius Comfort Compression Fabric throughout - this fabric is a little more stretchy, but it still offers some support and compression benefits.

    Great addition to my collection

So far so Great! Gave 4 stars because the legs seem too long. Almost reach my knee! Besides that the rest of the bibs fit comfortably. I have not tested the 400 mike pad beyond 75 miles, so not sure how it will feel after a century, but I will say it is a very comfortable pad while riding. Also did use them in a bike/run brick training which the bibs, pad and all, seemed to dissapear while running. Did not feel like I was wearing the pad. Additionally unlike the idea of extra pockets, but am concerned the leg pockets will catch on something (bike handle bar maybe) and rip out the shorts. Typically I just shove my extras up the legs of the shorts so nonpocket required.

    very comfortable shorts

The pad is awesome, i love the side pockets (very handy for gels) and overall construction is great. I gave it a slight deduction for the overly high waist which makes it harder to have road side breaks and for minor irritation from the seams on the shoulder straps. I would buy again.

Mobius Cycling Bib is great for long rides

I always pull out my Mobius cycling bibs for long rides. The padding feels thick and comfortable yet not binding. I never feel sore or rubbing on long rides--even 100 milers. Leg bands feel secure yet also not binding. Most cycling bibs do not have pockets. These do. Nice, especially in winter, when access to pockets may be tougher. Can easily get at a salt stick or bar.

    Outstanding Bibs

Love these bibs! Slight bit of compression is nice but its not to tight. The wide grip strip at the bottom of the legs is genius, and the pad is comfortable.

    Excellent Product

Twice done LOTOJA and it's 206 miles in these bibs. Both times, I was grateful. Great comfort, breath ability, storage, and value. Made in the USA is the cherry on top.

2017 400 Mile and Mobius Bib

The 400 Mile bib shorts have been my only pick for a number of years. I cannot imagine using a different pair for short or long distance cycling.
