WEIGHT - Accuracy helps us provide a more accurate size for you.
CHEST - Fullest part of breast, measured as the largest part of circumference right over the pectoral muscle.
WAIST -  Circumference measured at the belly-button line - this is NOT the same as your pants waist size.
HIPS - Circumference measured at the widest point, NOT at your hips where your belt may go. Typically this will measure just a few inches below your hip bones and around the largest part of the glutes.


 

If you do not have a tape measure and you need something to measure with, use a belt, or smart phone power cord, and a ruler.

Fit Note: Please do not assume your size, please use our size chart. If in doubt, email questions to contact@desotosport.com. Triathlon apparel is meant to fit next-to-skin. This is to eliminate potential chafing, and unnecessary drag during the swim, bike and run. If you’re not comfortable with this type of fit and or are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Garment will fit the most snug the first time you put it on, it will relax slightly once wet.

      Seem like fine shorts

      These seem like fine shorts, but they don't fit me well around the legs (too loose). So I returned them for the Mobius Tri Shorts, which I know work for me for training and racing.

      Good for training.

      I bought these shorts 2 weeks ago. I've worn them twice and they've already lost their form on your thigh. They just slide up and down now, acting like shorts. I emailed customer service and the owner responded promptly and was beyond generous with helping me out. They sent me the mobius tri shorts to try for free and gave me the option of switching the carrera to mobius for free if I liked it. The other option they gave me was to keep the carrera that I bought and buy the mobius with 40% discount. I do like the mobius a lot. I elected to keep the carrera that I’ll use for training, and wear the mobius for race days. I personally wouldn’t purchase the carrera again but would strongly recommend the mobius. I was beyond impressed with their customer service. They treated me with respect, were very generous and very prompt with finding a resolution. I will definitely be purchasing other products from them in the near future.

      Carrera Shorts in all black

      I don’t really like the pockets, but these shorts are offered in all black, so I got them.

      Multisport Shorts

      I mostly use these for the gym, where I do strength training, spinning and running, as well as outdoor runs. They save my Forza shorts for outdoor riding or brick (ride/run) workouts. I can put my keys, ear pods and even my phone in the pockets while I exercise.

      Great Pair of Shorts

      I bought these for running marathons & 50k races, not triathlons. I really like having pockets on long runs. The shorts are well suited for summertime running too. Size is true. Pricey but considering what they're covering, worth every penny.

      not too high and not too low

      I love this. I am not a fan of bike shorts that go half way up my tummy or all the way to the knees. These are a little low rise (but not too low) and the legs are a little short (but not too short). I now have 4 or 5 of these

      perfect fit, perfect fabric

      these are pretty low rise (but not super low like the other carreras). I am not a fan of high rise bike shorts so these are perfect. Also the fabric is a little more robust, which is great for both comfort and moisture control

      Love the Carrera

      I love these because they are lower rise than most shorts (but Not as low as the low-cut Carrera). Also they have a little more heft without being binding. And the fabric is super comfortable. I have 3 pairs

      Love it

      I really like these shorts. They are comfortable as well as practical for multiple fitness pursuits. The pockets come in handy and are well placed. I find them easy to care for as well-I simply rinse thoroughly with fresh water and air dry.

      Favorite tri shorts

      Long time customer. Desoto has been my “go to “ shorts for years. I only wish they were available in more colors. Years ago there was a silver color I really liked.

      Love these

      These shorts are really comfortable! The pockets are great and they are great for multitasking workouts. I have worn them for short swims, runs, and bike rides and they work perfectly. I am not certain that they will be a great choice for racing or longer rides but I love wearing them for workouts and will look forward to buying a second pair!

      My shorts

      They are both nice. I did five rides in each pair. Busy week. They are good. Definitely something I could wear for a race. I feel like they both shrank. Maybe the washing. I went on your website to see if there were special washing instructions, but couldn’t find any. I’ll likely need to get a new pair if they get any shorter. That said, definitely the right product for triathlons.
