The size chart above should serve as a general guide. If you would like assistance in determining the proper size, please send the following information to contact@desotosport.com.

WEIGHT - Accuracy helps us provide a more accurate size for you.
CHEST - Fullest part of breast, measured as the largest part of circumference right over the pectoral muscle.
WAIST -  Circumference measured at the belly-button line - this is NOT the same as your pants waist size.
HIPS - Circumference measured at the widest point, NOT at your hips where your belt may go. Typically this will measure just a few inches below your hip bones and around the largest part of the glutes.

If you do not have a tape measure and you need something to measure with, use a belt, or smart phone power cord, and a ruler.

This product review is from Dan Empfield of slowtwitch.com: "Whether it is the Forza Tri Bib, or the Riviera Tri Bib, this is the most versatile garment for training I own. I run in this, I nordic ski in this, and of course this is the garment when I race a tri. Partly, I guess it's because when you get to a specific age the specter of the gap between the bottom of the tri top and the trishort is not a pleasant one. Unless you have the physique to pull it off. Which I do not."

    Clydesdale Triathlete

As a bigger triathlete, I found it difficult to find trisuits that fit - they were either unbearably tight in the chest or super long in the legs. This bibshort allows me to S/B/R when paired with my larger-sized tri jersey or cycling top. Having the pockets is a great addition!

    Excellent bib shorts

Really comfortable on the bike and run. Got these when I decided I was going to use my road bike for a very hilly 70.3. They’re as comfortable as any cycling bibs I own. Just enough compression in the legs. Also appreciate the fly when I need a bathroom break.

    Perfect

Used these a bit for training and then to do an Olympic distance triathlon. Just perfect all around. Great fit, quick dry after swim, enough cushion on bike, no chaffing at all in run. Straps were comfy with no base layer which I find is not always the case with other bibs. Zero complaints, may buy another pair soon as I think they work well as main riding bibs also.

    Mixed bag

Very well constructed. The fly and pockets are great additions to the tribib too. The straps remain in place nicely which is often a flaw in other bib shorts. The primary negative is the stitching. There’s a lot of stitching around the chamois which generates friction and discomfort which means this bib is not well suited for anything but short training rides which is disappointing.

    Nice and comfortable

This bib is very comfortable. The pad doesn't get in the way when running and provides enough comfort on the bike.

Pretty Fli for a Tri Guy

I bought this because I already own 2 of the De Soto Riviera Flisuits (as well as the T1 2-piece wetsuit). The bibs allow the same easy access to rest breaks while wearing the jersey of choice for the day. Comfortable and I've done many runs off the bike with it. I would most definitely recommend this product. Thanks Emilio!

Only bibs I can ride in now

Since trying on the first pair of fli bibs that I purchased, I have become a convert, and now that I have a second pair I find myself using them every chance I get. They have just the right amount of padding for long rides, but it doesn't get in the way on long runs either. I have even started using them on my long trail runs because I like the feel of the compression and they cause less chafing than running shorts on 20+ mile days in the heat. I will definitely keep coming back to de soto just because of these bibs alone, not to mention their other great gear.

    Awesome bibs!!

Love these bibs!! They have all the comfort I’ve come to expect from the Riviera shorts and the integrated 7mm pad…enough pad to keep things fresh on the Century+ rides on the Queen K, but far from bulky and prohibitive. Great pockets for storage as well. These are my go-to bibs for the long, hot, training days on the Big Island.

    Riviera Fli Bib

I like riding in these bibs. They are comfortable in the saddle for long rides. I like the larger pocket in the back for a shell and the hole in the crotch when I have to stop for a natural. A couple of items in not a fan of is the strap material. Sometimes it can lead to nipple chaffing which can ruin a ride. The other item is, I wish the legs were a little longer. I am 6’3” and the leg length is around mid thigh on me. I like bibs and tri suits/ shorts a little longer. Thanks, Brent

    Riviera Fli Bib

Best piece of tri clothing I own. I got so used to riding with bibs when I put my miles in that this seemed a natural "transition." I love about these what we all love about a good pair of bibs...you put them on and never have to worry about adjusting. No draw string to tie means no draw string that comes loose! DeSoto's fly on the front is one of those innovations that makes you smack your head in wonder. Why haven't we had one of these slits in the front all along? To be honest, this isn't my first pair. I get a pair every year. Thanks for making the Riviera a bit longer, by the way. For what it's worth, my 22 year old daughter says the colors on the bottom make them "pop." I agree. They're perfect, all around!

    Full distance comfort

5'11", 185 lb. Size large. All day comfort at Ironman Wisconsin. Needed alternative to tri suit and tri short kits. Chamois fantastic out of swim for 112 miles. No chafing at all. Inseam length longer than a lot of tri shorts. Great thigh compression equal to dedicated UA compression shorts. Girdle effect of bibs was good for bloating feeling I get with my slow marathon pace. Will definitely wear again. Highly recommend these bibs.

Riviera Fli Bib - excellent for tri

I was a very happy long time user of the previous version of the tri bibs which I used for several years. When I purchased the new Riviera Fli Bibs I was happy to see they are even better than before. The comfort is excellent, providing good compression with range of motion. The pad is really comfortable. Great for racing but also for your long runs. Side pockets are well hidden. Highly recommended!

    Simply the Best

Like Brooke Shields and her Calvin Kleins, nothing comes between my butt and my bike except De Soto shorts. This is my third set up Tri bibs and I absolutely love them. 1. Comfortable 2. The right amount of compression 3. The pockets that you never know are there. Five Stars is not enough.

    Another Brilliant Invention by Emilio!

i have 3 pairs of these and they function as my go to cycling bib. the pad for me is more than enough for the longest of rides. the construction, durability, fit and attractiveness are all spot on. they are just fantastic bibs. but the brilliant part is fly. i cannot tell you how much easier this makes life during long, cold rides, when you have base layers and multiple layers up top. nature breaks are easy and discreet. i ride in a weekly group of pretty elite triathletes during the summer and i watch in wonder at how undignified the others look fumbling, pulling and hunching during those necessary nature moments we all experience during long rides.... i can't imagine going back to any other kind of bib. i would rate this invention almost as highly as the two piece wetsuit!

    Riviera Fli Bib

I can't seem to get a decent ride in without having these on. I'm a Desoto junkie, afterall. Love the compression feel to these bibs. Especially love not having to pull the front panel down to take a pit stop. Genius integration of that simple slit in the front. Way to go (once again) Emilio!

    Excellent pair of shorts

These are great short. I used them in Ironman Wisconsin this year. In hindsight, for me who is middle of the pack in Ironman, bib shorts are a bit cumbersome for a long event like Ironman. In particular, re-application of anti-chafing products is a bit of a process in the small Ironman porta potties. In terms of comfort, the shorts are great. Fantastic compression and support and, not to mention, looks.

    Favorite kit for everything!

I bought the Riviera fli-bib heading into this season to be my main racing kit. I loved the idea of the water shielded pockets and light, integrated pad. Since first trying it on, it has quickly become by favorite set-up for both training and racing! Racing in Florida means a lot of non-wetsuit races and this fli-bib has been ideal for swimming. The fit and function are fantastic and have ideal compression panels for all three portions of the race while remaining comfortable. More than that, the pockets are well thought out and ideally placed so that you can ignore them without consequence in a sprint or load them up easily with nutrition for longer rides and races! I especially love how they have the water lid on each pocket. It feels good in the water and during training, I put my key there and don't worry at all about it coming out. If you're looking for the perfect bib, this is it! Comfort is fantastic, the pad is great at all distances, the compression panels are effective during hard efforts, and the functionality is very well thought out!
