A little big in the chest and arm outs, but my size 2 is really tight in those area.

How to use this chart:
Find your height and weight on the size chart. This will narrow you down to one or two different sizes.
Bibjohn: Find your waist and hip measurements in the chart for your gender. This is your Bibjohn size.
Pullover: Find your chest and waist measurements in the chart for your gender. This is your Pullover size.
OTHER FACTORS:That you may find yourself in a different size top than bottom; it very common with T1 Wetsuits. It is very simple, imagine if you tried on two different sized one-piece wetsuits. You like the way the legs and hips feel on one of them, and you prefer the way the chest arms and shoulder feel on another. Simply put, this is what we offer combined with the notion that since the two pieces are not attached, but rather they overlap, there is a telescoping range between the bottom of the Pullover and the midsection of the Bibjohn to account for a larger range of heights and torso lengths!
So remember:

A Warning About Certain Lubricants and their Affect on Fabrics: Many athletic lubricants, especially non-liquid types, (like Body Glide, vaseline, and chamois creams) work well for wetsuits, but not well for clothing. They tend to make clothing, especially loose clothing, sticky, instead of slick and slippery, and usually results in chafing. They will also damage, stain and discolor all fabrics over time. We advise against using them, and their use will nullify our warranty.
The First Wave provides ultimate comfort and eliminates restrictions often found in one-piece wetsuits. This is why the T1 First Wave is a triathlete's First Choice!
The two-piece design of the T1 Wetsuits offers more comfort and less restriction. The top and bottom are not attached. This means you have much more freedom of movement and there is no “torso-rubber stretch” or shoulder fatigue that occurs with one-piece wetsuits. All T1 models are sold as separates for a customized and personal fit. With up to seven sizes of tops and bottoms, you have 49 possible size combinations from which to choose. Other features we innovated many years ago include lower necklines and thicker rubber in the legs and hips to help float the largest bones and muscles in the body. More floatation here means more speed. T1 Wetsuits are not filled with gimmicks, just physics.
Sizing : Please refer to the size chart button above for sizing guidance based on gender. If in doubt, email questions to contact@desotosport.com.

Favorite Features Remain:
Proper swim stroke includes swimming with your head slightly tilted up. Imagine how your head would be if you were reaching for something in an upper shelf of a cabinet. That said, the snug part may require a certain "getting use to.” The other part to know is that it will also relax a little bit over time by wearing it. It is important that the neck be snug so that water does not freely flow in while swimming.
Whether you like to swim for exercise or are on the swim course of a Triathlon, T1 Wetsuits offer you speed, comfort and buoyancy that will make swimming pure pleasure!

T1 First Wave Pullover
Excellent, thanks for having a suit that fits me. Hope all is well Emilio, next big swim this summer , Port Townsend to Coupeville. All the best to you and family. Dan
I swim year round without a wet suit ithe SanFrancisco Bay. When the temperature drops to the mid and low 50’s it gets tough. The T1 pullover keeps me warm and comfortable. It is not at all restrictive .. The support staff is very helpful iand ensuring you get the best fit. Emilio Dsoto personally helped me with any questions I had. Other members of the swim club I belong to also give the T1 pullover high marks.
I recently replaced my T1 pullover wetsuit top for the second time in about 12 years. It has fully met my needs throughout that time. It’s easy to swim in, without the pull on the shoulders of a one-piece suit, and is off lightning fast in the transitions. I’ll keep using it as long as they keep making it.
I've been using these tops since you first made them. I use them for surfing and they are the most comfortable and warmest top. I've been through at least 15 of them through the years. I usually get holes in the elbows from rubbing against the surfboard. I like the old graphics better, The new ones are too bright and flashy. I use a permanent marker to bleach out the graphics.
Thought i would share that i swam in 59 degree Turquoise Lake and Lake Granby and this wetsuit felt warm and comfortable. The shoulders are still soft and no feeling of constraint. Yet, the wetsuit is thick and warm. Love it.
The T1 first wave is the best wetsuit I have ever used in 20 plus years in the sport. I have always been in between sizes -- needing a bit more chest size then than legs and waist. I always had problems with a good chest fit which resulted in a tight fit which affected my breathing. This wetsuit solves that problem. Being able to get the perfect fit on both upper and lower body was great. Recently at an Ironman in St George, the water temp was 60 degrees. This wetsuit was great. Very warm yet comfortable. My chest fit was perfect which allowed me to breath easily and fend off any panic attacks. The legs are very thick and warm. It felt like I had a pull buoy between my legs. I had no worries of someone accidentally pulling my on my wetsuit strap. Getting the wetsuit off was simply. So happy with this wetsuit!
I have a long torso and short legs, so typical wetsuits really drag on my shoulders. The T1 Pullover feels like I have nothing pulling on my shoulders. You have to line up the crease correctly when putting it on, but if you do, then it's an easy and fast swim. I am sold on this product for the rest of my swimming life.
Purchased for my wife. She is impressed with every aspect of the suit. It's not her favorite suit to look at, but she doesn't care when she feels it in the water (and that's saying something because she's typically exceedingly particular on what she'll wear). Have tried countless others. Biggest benefits of this suit: Virtually no shoulder fatigue. Less neck constriction compared to all other suits.
The quality and comfort are superb, I've purchased 10 or so of them. They started out with the sleeves being all black, then blue circles and now blue wavy stripes. I wish they were all black again. I'm not a fan of the loud sleeves. wish they were all black again. Been using a permanent black marker to cover sleeves.
This is my 2nd time getting this wetsuit. The first saw frequent use and many miles of swimming. Flexibility in the arms/shoulders makes this a fantastic wetsuit. This winter in San Diego I've been using it, along with a hood, to be able to comfortably swim in sub-59°f. open water. I NEVER thought I'd do that!
I just received my new T1 First Wave wetsuit. This is probably the 4th or 5th DeSoto T1 I have owned over the past 20 plus years. I have loved my T1 suits, but was amazed with how great it is to swim in a new one. The fit, the feel of the Green Goma and just the overall quality are outstanding. My ocean swimming buddies who have bought a DeSoto wetsuit this season on my recommendation are now true believers.. Thx DeSoto for a great product and for making it better and better over the years.
