Emilio le dio a estos pantalones cortos y culotte con tirantes el nombre de "400 millas" a raíz de una prueba de producto que consistió en recorrer 400 millas durante 4 días. Su lógica era que muchos pantalones cortos se sienten bien para recorridos de más de 100 millas. La verdadera pregunta es ¿cómo se siente ese sillín cuando te subes a la bicicleta a la mañana siguiente para recorrer otras 100 millas... y a la mañana siguiente? Esta fue la inspiración para el diseño, la badana y el nombre.

Nota sobre la entrepierna: longitud de pierna más corta que la de otras marcas: ¿Has visto la longitud de los pantalones cortos que llevan los ciclistas en Europa últimamente, especialmente en las Grandes Vueltas? A diferencia de la mayoría de las marcas aquí en Estados Unidos, que llegan justo por encima de las rodillas, nuestros pantalones cortos son cómodamente más cortos. Nuestra entrepierna es similar a la que utilizan actualmente los profesionales en las Grandes Vueltas. No tienen elástico de agarre, pero se mantienen en su lugar y no aprietan ni aprietan las piernas, lo que es crucial una vez que llegas al segmento de carrera a pie de un triatlón.

These bibs are great! It fits right, true to size. Very comfortable chamois and soft material. These are my second shorts from DeSoto and I hope they last as long as my first shorts.
Simply the best bibs I have ever worn. I am HARD on my gear - and these things hold up. I’ve only killed one pair - and that was a high speed descent on a rain slicked mountain road in Vermont - that went sideways.
Over the last several years, these 400 mile bib-shorts have been my only “go to” for logging 150+ miles per week. On road, off-road, mountain bike… Doesn’t matter. they are the perfect combination of comfort, support, and technical superiority. The best thing I can say about them is that you simply forget you’re wearing them. It’s the only thing I own in this category… A++
These shorts fit great, last long, and - can take punishment. I had three pretty tough crashes at this year’s Belgian Waffle Ride. Broke my thumb, filleted both knees - but these shorts held up. You can’t even tell that I crashed. Been using them for a few years - when a pair that I ordered never arrived (was stolen off the front porch) Customer Service sent me another pair for free. Since that occurrence three years ago, De Soto is the only cycling wear that I buy.
I have purchased a pair of these every other cycling season (or there about) and have been consistently impressed by the way these bibs age. Despite being pretty hard on them and not really sticking to their washing instructions as much as I should they have held up very well, they retain most of the compression, the padding stays fluffy and centrally located. I have not has as much as a broken seam thread in 5 years ( and if there is an issue DeSoto's repair team is impressively fast). I recommend these to everyone I know that I know. The quality justifies the investment many times over in my experience.
These bib shorts hold up well and the sham is super comfortable. No irritation. No rubbing. Second pair. Always wait for the sale and then jump on it

Got a set of bibs and shorts after having such good luck with the tri suit. Pad is awesome, fit great.
Excellent bibs. I have a pair from 2010, and the latest version performs just as well. Often used for long days (8-12 hrs) bikepacking. The only upgrade I can see possible, would be the addition of a ‘fly’ much like the Riviera Tr Bib.

2nd pair because i shredded my first in an accident. Ive worn these for long days, ironman, they are my favorite bibs i own.

I was very excited to get a pair of DeSoto bibs. They came highly recommended by one of my most respected cycling teammates. The material is high quality and sturdy. The one thing I don't like is there is no rubber lining around the bottom of the legs. The bibs tend to wrinkle and hike up my quads during a long ride. I live in San Francisco and most of my rides are in the cold while I'm wearing knee warmers. The legs on these bibs hike up especially easily while on top of the knee warmers. I’ll still wear the DeSotos since they were so expensive but it’s a hassle (and unsafe) to have to pull down the legs while riding. I was hoping to be happier with these bibs but I’m not. Maybe future versions would have some kind of lining to prevent this.
This one of the best bibs I’ve ever used. Fits perfectly and the feeling of the compression panels is great. Highly recommended
I love these shorts. I have been riding w/ DeSoto for 10 yrs and they are my go-to bib shorts. great quality, chamois, fit. I couldn't ask for more in my bike kit closet.

Comfortable ride.
Husband owns and loves his 400-mile cycle short, so I gave him the bib shorts for his birthday. He tried them on and said, "“these bib shorts are great!”. Originally he tried the large but returned for medium which fit him better. For size reference, he’s 6’ and weighs 178 lbs.
I love the comfort of the 400 mile cycling bibs. The back and side pockets make it easy to keep my go to stuff close. I am on my 4th pair and don’t want anything else for my long rides! And finally a big thank you for supporting military members!
This is my 3rd pair of these bibs and I’m always 100% satisfied. They have gotten me through Ironman distance rides, two Ride Across Wisconsin events of 175 and 225 miles respectively and I have never once had any problems. They are the best bibs I’ve ever used. Thank you for making such an excellent product.

Overall, these are nice bibs. They weren’t super-comfortable to start (a 100 mile ride) but I forgot about them after a few hours. Which makes them quality bibs. Not sure the 400 mile moniker is warranted.
