This is to eliminate potential chafing, and unnecessary drag during the swim, bike and run. If you’re not comfortable with this type of fit and or are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Garment will fit the most snug the first time you put it on, it will relax slightly once wet.

      Amazing Tri shorts - I'm only buying De Soto here on out!

      Remarkable fit and quality, snug where you need them to be but not restrictive - easy to move in and material is soft and comfortable/ no chaffing. The quality is apparent in the stitchwork - this company really puts pride into their products. Already purchased a tri top and another set of shorts and saving up to build a full De Soto kit, including wet suit components. Thanks for supporting the Tri community and really happy to support you back:).

      Alternative Activitie

      I’m an ultra distance Bikepack Racer & after every effort to be hygienic I decided enough was enough and I’ve swarn off chamois & bibs. However it’s still challenging to find a comfortable pair of underwear, and that’s were these step in, extremely comfortable, so far with som real long days and multiple layers on top I’ve never been more comfortable. I’ve even worn them at work for a few days to further testing Looking forward to testing next summer in real hot weather and multiple days. They definitely feel like underwear, so I plan to use with tight run short on top. Great with tights and rain pains. The garment would be perfect if it had a higher back & wider waist band, as I’m not using for purpose I won’t give it anything but a 5star rating, De Soto, if you are able to make a bike packing variant with high waist suspect it could be popular the the ultra community,.

      Lower is better!

      I love these shorts! Not sure I’d wear them outside (well maybe). I typically wear bibs outside. I use these while Zwift riding. Typical shorts start digging into my waist, while these ride below my hip points, which is very comfortable. I love the minimal pad, too.

      Desoto tri short

      Desoto makes the best tri shorts. On my third pair, they last long as long as you don’t swim train with them in chlorine. Delivered timely, best shorts

      Return customer - Sportier version than previous one

      boot camp perfection

      I go from boot camp straight into spin class no time to change but these are light enough to wear under my workout shorts and sturdy enough for the bike

      My go-to running shorts.

      I’ve run almost exclusively in these shorts for over 10 years, and I just really love the feel and design of them. I usually do triathlons in my team kit, but I’ve done an Ironman in these, and they did the trick perfectly. I’m very sorry that the blue is being retired, so I snatched mine up while supplies last. When I’ve worn through my last blue pair (that takes a while), the black carrera will be my go-to.

      Great shorts!

      I’ve bought these same shorts multiple times over the years, now on pairs #5 and #6. Great fit, great quality. I’ve used them regularly in chlorinated pool without any problems.

      I have had a few pairs of the carrera tri shorts and they are the best. I still use the first pair I bought many years ago.

      Extraordinary technical sports apparel

      Worked great for week of bikepacking.

      Extremely comfortable. Easy to hand wash when in the middle of nowhere and air dried very quickly. No bulky padding made the hike-a-bike sections more tolerable.

      My favorite tri shorts!

      Great fit and very comfortable, minimal, padding (just enough). I’ve been wearing De Soto for years. I definitely recommend them. I do wish they were a solid color without the white trim stitching and some additional color offerings would be great.

      I Love De Soto Sport!

      The most comfortable top I own. It is well made and will last a long time. I had two pair of shorts and though I have bought other brands over the years, these have lasted the longest and are the most comfortable. I will continue to be a loyal customer.

      Great product - same as always

      I bought a pair of their tri shorts so many years ago that I can't remember when. Probably more than 15 years ago. I'm still using those shorts! I needed another pair and these are just as good as those original shorts. The only nitpick I have is that I didn't realize that "DeSoto" was written so large down the leg of the shorts. It probably won't bother anyone else, but if I'm going to be a walking billboard ...

      Lovin’ these riding togs

      These shorts are absolutely comfortable. Bye and bye you realize that the cut of the shorts and placement of the pad conspire to achieve that elusive harmony of fit and function. I have two...a third may be in my future.

      Carrera tri shorts

      I remember when Emilio De Soto First came up with the tri shorts we’ll over 20 years ago! They were a game changer in triathlon clothing because they bridged the gap between wearing Speedo’s and something more accommodating, fashionable and comfortable that could be used not only for racing but also daily training! Everyone copied those tri shorts shorts and they are still the best with the tri pad superior to all other triathlon shorts. I should know because I’ve tried them all! I have bought anywhere between 40 to 45 pair of Carrera tri shorts over the past 20 years including 4 this year for the 2019 season! Great job De Soto!!

      Long lasting comfort

      The first pair I had lasted two years, I train and race in them year round. I just bought my second pair and I expect that they will last just as long. I really like the soft, thin fleece pad which is great in the water, on the bike and the run. The padding has never irritated me like some other materials have. I also love the shorter inseam length, I find that so much more comfortable than longer shorts that come down to my knees. The only thing I would change is bottom edge of the shorts, I wish they were just a little tighter around the thigh.

      comfortable

      carrera trishorts are my go to shorts for races and long rides, no bulk in the pad, comfortable on the bars... i have 5 pairs
