BUST - Fullest part of breast, measured as the largest part of circumference right over the pectoral muscle.
WAIST -  Circumference measured at the belly-button line - this is NOT the same as your pants waist size.
HIPS - Circumference measured at the widest point, NOT at your hips where your belt may go. Typically this will measure just a few inches below your hip bones and around the largest part of the glutes.

 

If you do not have a tape measure and you need something to measure with, use a belt, or smart phone power cord, and a ruler.

This is to eliminate potential chafing, and unnecessary drag during the swim, bike and run. If you’re not comfortable with this type of fit and or are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Garment will fit the most snug the first time you put it on, it will relax slightly once wet.
Customer feedback indicates sizing down if you are between sizes.

    Great shorts, just not for me

    I bought these shorts to try out another Desoto tri short. I thought the higher waistband would suit me better than the current Carrera tri short i currently use. unfortunately, the drawstring in the middle did not suite me. i do love the colors and pattern. The material is soft and breathable. and i love the pockets!!! I will most certainly wear them for my shorter rides.

    Love the shorts for the most part!

    The seam that holds the waist string is coming out on one of my pairs (I have 4), so I’m not happy about that. Otherwise, great tri shorts.

    Impressive improvements

    My last pair of DeSoto shorts were from 2013 - still in great shape, but I needed another pair because I'm home with the kids and we aren't going to the Y with the pandemic. These shorts are a bright spot to using the indoor trainer - my first pick out of the drawer, and laundry motivator. As my other old pairs of shorts circle the drain, I'll replace them with these. Sizing was spot on.

    Only shorts we will buy

    I have been riding and doing tris for 25 years and always had the best luck with your products. Now my two daughters are getting involved in the sport and needed advice on gear. Needless to say they are very happy with their new gear. Thanks Desoto

    Best Shorts Ever

    I recently purchased a pair of these in the solid black and the skull and roses print. They are amazing. Compressive but not too tight. Shorts are a perfect length. The pockets are exactly where they need to be. They even feel amazing to run with. You can't even notice that the padding is there! The "no seam" is amazing!

    Like nothing is down there

    These shorts with the "femme" pad are like nothing else out there. I wear these in every triathlon. Makes me a happy girl after the race !

    Best Tri Short Ever!!

    These shorts are amazing - super comfortable - the no seams makes a huge difference with being on tri bars for hours.

    Love them!

    Used them in my 70.3. They were amazing, no riding up or falling in the waist. Very comfortable on the bike!

    MUST HAVE

    So I have tried a few different pairs and brands of tri shorts and these are THE BEST! The chamois is perfect! Love how it moves with your body. And it is virtually unnoticeable on the run! The fabric of these shorts are so comfortable! They are compressive but soft at the same time! No riding up. Love the wider waist band. These shorts are my absolute fave to tri and ride in!!

    Most comfortable tri shorts ever!

    I've bought many different brands of tri shorts trying to find something comfortable for 70.3 and 140.6 events. I finally found that in the Riviera Tri Shorts. The seamless, stretchy chamois is amazing. Enough padding for long rides, but not noticeable during the run. I love the yoga style waistband and wide leg bands that don't bind or ride up.

    Super comfy

    Just got these tri shorts and used them for a 70.3 last weekend. There was no pulling, pinching, grabbing or anything--they just moved with my body but stayed put where they should be. The chamois was comfortable on the ride--giving enough padding to be comfortable. On the run it was not even noticeable that it was there. Overall they are a winner. From a sizing perspective-if you are between sizes order a size down. I was right on the line between S and M and the S is definitely the right one for me.

    Love the comfort and design

    I usually only wear bibs since I have issues being comfortable on the bike, not with these they stay in place. Period. They also don't ride up. Just super comfortable and a great design/fabric.
